The communist Cuban regime, which relies on subsidized Venezuelan oil, and the Chinese Communist Party have also come out against the United States and in support of the regime of Nicolás Maduro.

Meanwhile, the United States has continued enforcing its blockade of sanctioned oil tankers coming from and to Venezuela. Lawmakers support a change of regime in Venezuela but disagree on the role the U.S. military could have in the process.
