Facebook parent Meta plans to release a new Twitter rival app, called Threads. It will allow users to retain followers from photo-sharing platform Instagram. It’s essentially Instagram’s text-based conversation app. Will Meta’s new app pose a threat to Elon Musk’s Twitter? NTD speaks with Andrew Selepak, social media professor at the University of Florida.
