Ivanka Trump, the first daughter and White House adviser to President Donald Trump, told Fox News on Monday that she tries to stay out of politics while contributing positively on issues she cares deeply about.

“I instead focus on areas where I can add positive value, where I can contribute to the agenda,” Ivanka said.

On the list of her top concerns are workforce developments, removing barriers for American families so that they can thrive, helping veterans, and “focusing on issues relating to the really devastating opioid problem that we have in this country.”

Ivanka Trump was open about having disagreements with her father on certain issues, saying that it “would be a very strange scenario” if people in a family or an administration were in “100 percent alignment” on all issues.

When asked how she would grade her father’s performance so far, the first daughter noted that the job is very hard, but that despite the naysayers, her dad is getting an “A” in her book.

“I think he’s doing an amazing job,” she said, noting that she’s “slightly biased.”

“When you think about the policies being put in place to support the American worker, when you see what’s happening in the stock market—it’s thriving. Small business owners across the country feel a renewed sense of optimism and vigor and spirit,” Ivanka Trump added.
