Ivanka Trump meets human trafficking victims

Ivanka Trump, traveling with her father President Donald Trump, took time to visit with women who had survived unspeakable horrors.

She met with several victims of human trafficking.

The rescued women were brought together by the  Catholic charity Community of Sant’Egidio.

Ms. Trump spoke to the media briefly before the meeting.

First she thanked the charity for providing support for ”those who need it the most, whether it’s the elderly, the poor, the disadvantaged, and victims of human trafficking throughout Africa and elsewhere in the world.”

She then spoke of the women she would meet., calling them “testament to strength, faith, perseverance in the face of unspeakable adversity and challenge.

“I look forward to hearing from them directly about their struggles and how they were able to rebuild their lives,” she said.
