East Japan Railway Co. launched a luxury sleeper train on Monday. It’s called the Shiki-shima.

A four-day trip from Tokyo to Hokkaido costs $10,000. Even the shortest two-day trip goes for $2,860 (320,000 yen).

All seats are booked until March 2018, and the lottery for booking the largest suite was over-subscribed by 76 times, the operator said.

The train features traditional Japanese rice straw mats, Hinoki wooden bathtubs, skyview glass ceilings, and live piano music in the dining car.

It will only carry 33 passengers.

The train will stop by hot spring resorts, as well as cultural and heritage sites in Northern Japan.

All accommodation and meals are included in the fare.

Luxury trains are experiencing a surge in popularity in Japan. Kyushu Railway Co. launched its Seven Star luxury coach four years ago and JR West is set to launch its Twilight Express Mizukaze in June.
