Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida invited his ministers to his office on Wednesday to eat a sashimi lunch with seafood caught from Fukushima Prefecture—a move aimed to support the area’s fisheries and seafood industry. The move came as Beijing banned all Japanese seafood imports last week following the release of treated radioactive water from the stricken Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant.
