Actress Jennifer Garner was honored in Los Angeles on Aug. 20 with the 2,641st star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Garner, who was accompanied by friends and family for the ceremony on L.A.’s fabled Hollywood Boulevard, praised her parents for her success.

“My parents most of all … I want you to remember that it was your non-judgmental, infinitely loving, acceptance of me and whatever I hoped for myself that made this possible,” said Garner.

The 46-year-old Garner’s best known films include “Daredevil,” “Juno,” “Dallas Buyers Club,” and “Love, Simon.” She also stars in the upcoming “Peppermint,” in which she plays a woman who becomes a vigilante after her husband and daughter are killed in a drive-by-shooting by drug dealers.

Steve Carrell and Bryan Cranston, both of whom starred with Garner in a film, turned out to support her.

“I know today is very difficult for you because you are very unassuming and you generally think about others more than you think about yourself but, Jen, you deserve all these nice words, you deserve to be honored for your work and for being the type of person that you have tricked us us all into believing you are,” joked Carell.

“I was exceedingly proud to be able to work with you because, not just because of your spirit but because of your talent. You are a fiercely devoted mother, you are a very generous friend and you are just a lovely human being in every sense of the word,” added Cranston.

In 2001, Garner was given the role of CIA agent Sydney Bristow, in the television drama, “Alias,” for which she won a Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild award.
