Sahar Tartak, an Orthodox Persian Jewish student at Yale, has described to Congress how her school and other colleges have supported pro-Hamas protests, while allowing the intimidation of Jewish activist students like herself. Ms. Tartak was testifying before a House Higher Education Subcommittee hearing on “Confronting the Scourge of Antisemitism on Campus” in Washington on Tuesday.

She said that her activism at Yale had brought her death threats, and that she had been censored by the Ivy League university’s newspaper.

During her opening statement, Ms. Tartak accused American academia of “turning its back” on Jewish students.
