Actress Julia Roberts was voted the World’s Most Beautiful Woman by People magazine for the fifth time in 26 years. The popular film star is 49 years old.

The leading lady in the film “Pretty Woman” said she found the award flattering.

Asked if it was flattering or embarrassing, she replied, “It will become embarrassing. Right now, let’s just keep it with ‘flattering.’”

She was first voted the award in 1991, when she was 23 years old.

She was asked to describe herself at that age, she said, “Just very adorable and naive and so happy to be invited to the party.”

She has been to a lot of parties since, starred in a lot of films, made a lot of money—and apparently, gained a lot of wisdom.

She first won the award 26 years ago. When asked where she saw herself 26 years from now, she replied, “75 years old.”

Her longer response showed the depth beneath her beauty.

“If I can just grow gracefully-ish old and watch my kids grow up and realize their dreams and find their person in life and hopefully have a family—little creatures for Danny (husband Danny Moder) and I to spoil—that’s what the winter of life is supposed to be about.”

She has fame, she has fortune. According to People magazine, she has the most beauty of any woman alive.

Most important, Julia Roberts has a grasp on what matters.
