“Man Of The Woods” singer, Justin Timberlake is back—but this time, he’s out of the woods delivering sunshine and smiles to children at a local hospital.

The singer took time off from his recent tour in order to visit the children at HCA Healthcare’s Methodist Children’s Hospital in San Antonio.

In the week leading up to his visit to the hospital, a video featuring one of Timberlake’s songs went viral. A number of children at the hospital held up signs that read “JT See Me,” asking the singer to come to visit them. The requests were then followed by various clips of patients jamming along with the song “Can’t Stop The Feeling” and its iconic line, “I got that sunshine in my pocket.”

Many children took part in the video, including a toddler who was wiggling along with the song, and others who were able to dance were seen in the video. In addition, a few clips of hospital staff also joined in on the fun.

Finally, on Jan. 18, the singer obliged. He came to the hospital to fulfill the request made by the children by surprising them with a visit, and he even posed for pictures with them, according to Associated Press.

Timberlake had a performance in San Antonio on Jan. 19, and amidst his prep work for the Saturday show, he reserved enough time to stop at the hospital. The singer went room to room to visit each child and their families to shake hands and take pictures with them, according to USA Today.

On the same day, the Methodist Children’s Hospital posted a picture with Justin Timberlake on its Facebook page. In the picture, a girl holds a sign that read, “JT Saw me!”

We want to thank Justin Timberlake for visiting with our amazing kids and their families! We also want to say thank you to YOU! for helping make this possible by sharing and liking their video. #JTSawMe

A Special Moment For A Parent

One of the patients was a little 3-year-old boy named Jackson, who was at the hospital for cancer treatment. His mother, Annabella Lugosi, said that the singer took his time with each child he visited and was very humble, according to Today.

“He was so humble, and you could really tell that this wasn’t for publicity or anything like that. He genuinely wanted to be a bright spot in these kids’ lives for a day,” Lugosi said.

She said at first she was unaware of what was going on, but when Timberlake visited Jackson’s room after his treatment, Lugosi welcomed the singer into the room.

Lugosi said that Timberlake asked her about Jackson and even told her about his own son. He praised her as a parent, and she said that he was “being so, so sweet.”

The singer was even able to be part of a special routine that the kids were part of, Lugosi said.

“When kids (are) done with their treatments here they have a big parade through the hallway of oncology and they ring the bell. They make it a really big, special deal, and it’s really cool that Justin was able to be involved in that celebration yesterday.”

According to Kens5, the singer complimented the kids in a Twitter video. “The kids are so strong, it’s inspirational.”

Many people who were involved took the time to post their experiences of meeting Timberlake on social media, and according to those posts, reported Today, the singer took the time to make everyone feel special. Some of these kids are not able to be part of any trips or excursions, much less visit any of Justin Timberlake’s concerts.

“All the parents that are in the oncology wing are there all the time. We’re really grateful that he took the time to come see us because we’re kind of chained here. Everything about it was memorable,” said Lugosi.

The fact that the “Can’t Stop The Feeling” singer was able to visit them and be part of their treatment journey made it that much more special.

Timberlake resumed his “Man of the Woods” tour after cancelling some of the dates last year after his recovery from bruised vocal cords.

On Oct. 24, the singer took to his Instagram page to announce that he was going to postpone his show at Madison Square Garden because of severely bruised vocal cords—as per doctor’s orders. He had to postpone a few shows in favor of recovery and would be back on his tour on Nov. 29, 2018, according to Billboard.
