KFC is highly selective about who they follow on Twitter.

And the unique reason why KFC chose these 11 to follow was discovered by a Twitter user who goes by the name “Edge.”

His revelation went viral and he’s earned Twitter stardom. He’s had 300,000 retweets in two days.

“Those 11 people? 5 Spice Girls and 6 guys named Herb. Eleven Herbs & Spices. I need time to process this” he wrote on Twitter.

Yes. Eleven Herbs and Spices. You can take a look at who KFC follows to confirm it’s true.

The list consists of the official accounts of the 5 Spice Girls, Geri Horner, Melanie Brown, Emma Bunton, Melanie C, and Victoria Beckham. The six men named Herb include verified Twitter users, Herb Scribner, Herb J. Wesson, Jr., Herb Waters, Herb Dean, Herb Sendek, and Herb Alpert.

Herb Scribner was quick to tweet that he is part of KFC’s exclusive club.

Actually, Herb Scribner had already made this discovery, and described it as “cute” about a month ago.

Meanwhile, the KFC Colonel added “Edge” on LinkedIn.

“Weirdest part of this whole thing is the @kfc Colonel adding me to @LinkedIn & endorsing me for social networking. Didn’t see that coming,” he wrote in a tweet.

Everyone on social media is ecstatic. Naturally.

“Mind = blown” wrote Twitter user Mat Reno.

“This just changed my entire life,” joked a Twitter user called Wedge. Another user wrote that it’s “literally the most amazing thing I have ever seen.” Others just remarked, “genius.”

Wendy’s official account also joined the conversation.
