A Chrysanthemum Exhibition “Flower Constellations” with over 20.000 chrysanthemums used to create floral arrangements has opened at Kiev’s Singing Field.

The festival opened on Oct. 4 and will last until Oct. 27.

Chrysanthemums originate from China and appeared in 551 BC, in a description of the imperial garden.

Later, chrysanthemums became popular in Japan, where they have been cultivated since the 4th century AD.

It wasn’t until the 17th century, that these plants came to Europe.
