Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were scolded by state wildlife officials over a video of them chasing antelopes near their $14 million ranch property in Wyoming.

On September 15, Kardashian posted a video to her Instagram Story riding behind and alongside a herd of pronghorns, or American antelopes, on an ATV. In the video, Kardashian can be heard warning her husband as the animals sprung into panic, shouting: “I think you’re scaring them!”

The video was recorded near Monster Lake Ranch, a massive property that boasts some 1,400 acres of land and a dramatic view of the Rocky Mountains. The ranch, which was listed for $14 million, is only about 75 miles from the world-famous Yellowstone National Park, according to Business Insider.

TMZ sources reported that the couple had no intention of traumatizing the antelopes, which just happened to run by, and they slowed down after the video was taken to let the agitated animals pass. The wildlife officials, however, seemed unimpressed.

“State laws prohibit this type of animal harassment,” a spokesperson for the Wyoming Game and Fish Department told TMZ. “We’re told the department was made aware of Kim’s video and paid a visit to the manager of Kanye’s new ranch to make sure everyone is aware of the rules pertaining to wildlife.”

No formal complaint was filed against the couple, a spokesperson of the Cody Police Department recently told Radar, but not everyone in the community was happy about the behavior of these newcomers.

“Residents are set in their ways,” said the spokesperson. “It’ll be a learning curve for them to get used to the way people are around here.”

“It is a quiet place,” he said. “People don’t like when you move from out of state and try to change the way the people are around here.”

This is not the first time that the Kardashian-Wests have gotten into trouble with the annoyed neighbors. Earlier this year, a pair of Los Angeles police officers had to pay a visit to one of West’s Sunday church services because of noise complaints from neighbors.

In a recent interview with Vogue, Kardashian said while she hopes to relocate to Wyoming within the next 10 years, she intends to travel back to California, where she not only has several business ties, but she is studying to pass the state’s bar exam.

“I see us living on a ranch in Wyoming, occasionally going to Palm Springs and our home in Los Angeles—and becoming a lawyer,” she said.
