Kim Kardashian West has announced she will dress more conservatively in the future out of respect for her husband, Kanye West, who has become a devout Christian.
In the Oct. 13 episode of “Keeping Up With The Kardashians,” Kardashian and her husband had a “row” about a revealing dress Kim wore at the Met Gala in May, which West took issue with, Waynedupree.com reported.
The debate appeared to get serious when Kim suggested it was too late to change the dress, and that she wasn’t necessarily on the same page.
“Just because you are on your journey and your transformation doesn’t mean I’m on the same spot with you,” she said, prompting West to walk out on her.
But on Tuesday when asked by host Tamera Mowry-Housley about the argument on the “The Real,” where she appeared with her sisters, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian, she seemed to have had a change of heart.
“I do think that, you know, he is my husband, so I obviously want to honor him and what he’s feeling. And he’s been going through this life change, and it’s mostly about the kids.”
As West felt there were to many things in the household that could have a negative, demoralizing effect on their children, the couple agreed to be more careful about what they have around them.
“We got rid of TVs in the kids’ rooms and removed makeup from North’s room—and he’s been very, had this, you know, epiphany of being this—not that he wasn’t an amazing dad—but being a little bit more strict as a dad and being very forceful on the imagery that’s in our household and what they see,” Kim said.
“I actually agree with it,” she added, “But I’m always gonna be me, and so, we had that discussion and that fight.”
“I think, at the end of the day that’s what marriage is. He’s gonna do things that I don’t agree with, and I support him, and vice versa,” she said.
Kardashian’s recent move to a more conservative aesthetic comes after she was spotted last month in her ancestral hometown in Armenia to receive a baptism for herself and her children at the Orthodox Christian Church, Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin located in the city of Vagharshapat, The Sun reported.
She posted some photos of that event on Instagram. They show her adorned with a traditional scarf en a demure yet stylish dress. “So blessed to have been baptized along with my babies,” she commented to it.
