‘Making of a Currywurst’ — Konzerthausorchester Berlin turns food into music
Walking through town could bring you to an unusual piece of orchestra music — At a “Currywurstbude,” or sausage stall in Germany.

In Berlin the stalls are bigger than elsewhere in Germany, and are often the size of small restaurants. That’s not what is unusual however,… The “Konzerthausorchester Berlin,” actually put the making of a currywurst to orchestral composition.

They used their instruments to accompany sound to each step and action associated with making the currywust. Literally, each and every step of preparing the spicy sausage: Grilling, slicing, shaking of the salt, the sound of ketchup and don’t forget the clink of the tip jar.

Of course a currywurst is best enjoyed with fries and a cool beverage, so the musicians recreated the sizzle of fries, and the sound of opening a beer bottle; they didn’t even miss wiping the table!
