Labor Market Is Softening, but ‘Not Terribly Bad’: Economic Analyst

The number of people applying for unemployment benefits fell by 17,000 to 233,000 last week, easing concerns about the labor market. However, the drop was not enough to stifle speculation about a recession this year.
