The UK government has committed to building new gas power stations, while still pushing the Net Zero agenda forwards. Head of policy at Net Zero Watch, Harry Wilkinson, told NTD that while gas power will help prevent blackouts, Labour’s plan to decarbonise the electricity grid by 2030 will inevitably be cancelled.
