Increased and blanket taxes, like the ones the treasury secretary and the International Monetary Fund are pushing for, would lead to a global egalitarian tax policy.
Daniel Lacalle wrote the book “Freedom or Equality,” which looks at the trade-offs between the pursuit of equality of outcome and our liberties. Lacalle is also chief economist at the Tressis hedge fund. NTD asked him what freedoms we’ll have to trade for this policy.
