Landmarks around the world turn green to celebrate St Patrick’s Day

A record-breaking 275 iconic landmarks and sites in over 40 countries around the world turned green on Friday (March 17) to celebrate Ireland’s patron saint, St. Patrick.

The Great Wall of China, Rome’s Colosseum, and Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro were among the iconic landmarks to turn green.

St. Patrick’s Day is celebrated in Ireland and throughout much of the world on March 17.
