Investigators scouring the computers belonging to Las Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock found “numerous” child pornography pictures.

Las Vegas Sheriff Joe Lombardo revealed the news during a press conference on Jan. 19.

It comes several months after the brother of Paddock, Bruce Paddock, was arrested on suspicion of possessing hundreds of images of child porn.

He later pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Stephen Paddock allegedly killed 58 people and wounded hundreds of others on Oct. 1, firing on a crowd of concert-goers from his hotel suite at Mandalay Bay.

Officials said he shot and killed himself before officers could reach him. He was cremated and his ashes were given to his brother.

A preliminary police report released later on Friday will detail what was found in Paddock’s hotel suite, Fox News reported, citing Lombardo.

Lombardo also said that despite following thousands of leads, investigators have not been able to find a motive for the mass murder.

“The sheriff has expressed frustration about speculation and theories that have grown about the shooting and an investigation that he compared with solving a puzzle,” the Reno Gazette-Journal noted.

Besides using his computers to view child pornography, Paddock searched multiple large venues before settling on the concert near Mandalay Bay, Lombardo said. At one point, Paddock looked up the number of beachgoers in Santa Monica, California. He also searched several other hotels in Vegas.

Paddock also conducted extensive searches online regarding police and SWAT tactics, reported the Associated Press.

Lombardo also said he doesn’t expect any charges to be filed against Marilou Danley, Paddock’s girlfriend, who was previously named a person of interest in the case.
