After repeated delays and parents facing uncertainty of what the new school year will hold, New York City officially opened all its public schools for in-person learning. Today was the last day of the city’s phased approach which let students come back in waves, with pre-K first, then elementary, and lastly, middle and high schools.
“Today is the first day back for middle and high school students in the nation’s largest school system. Parents tell us they’re a bit nervous but happy for their kids to be back, at least part time, for now.”
