More European countries are distancing themselves from the Chinese communist regime.

Latvia and Estonia have announced their withdrawal from the cooperative group between Beijing and East Europe. The decision follows Lithuania’s departure last year.

According to Latvia’s foreign ministry, remaining in the China group no longer serves the country’s strategic goals in the current international climate.

Both Latvia and Estonia have stated that their future relations with China will parallel respect for human rights and a rules-based international order.
