Fox News host Laura Ingraham mocked singer Taylor Swift after the candidate she backed for U.S. Senate lost on Nov. 6.
“Hey @taylorswift13, haters gonna hate. #shakeitoff,” Ingraham said via Twitter.
John Roberts, a Fox News reporter, also tweeted about the loss of Swift’s candidate, along with Fox News contributor Katie Pavlich.
Swift had backed former Tennessee Gov. Phil Bredesen despite a bid by Republican Marsha Blackburn to become the first female senator the state sent to Washington.
Blackburn, who has served in Congress since 2002, won handily, earning 54.7 percent of the vote to Breseden’s 43.9 percent.

In a speech after winning, Blackburn told supporters, “Tennesseans wants a conservative U.S. senator who is going to take your values to Washington.”
She said she would work with President Donald Trump “to keep this nation on the path to prosperity that we are on today.”
Leading up to the Nov. 6 midterms, President Trump stumped multiple times for Blackburn, proclaiming his full support.
He traveled to Tennessee just two days before the midterms and appeared with Vice President Mike Pence and Blackburn at a huge rally before an estimated 12,000 people in Chattanooga.
“Your next senator, Marsha Blackburn, will keep your economy thriving, your wages rising, your jobs soaring, and she will keep your families and communities safe,” Trump said.
Blackburn repeatedly painted Bredesen as someone who would oppose the president.
“If my opponent, Phil Bredesen, had his way, Hillary Clinton … would be president and not any of these things would be happening,” Blackburn said, referring to Trump’s accomplishments.
“If you want to vote ‘no’ on Hillary Clinton and her cronies one more time, stand with me.”
