A legal battle with children at its heart is playing out on the West coast. Protect Kids California announced a ballot initiative and a lawsuit last week against California’s Attorney General.
The Protect Kids of California 2024 Act is a ballot initiative with three aims: keeping girls sports and girls spaces for girls; requiring schools to notify parents if a child is transitioning to another gender; and outlawing cross-sex procedures and puberty blockers on minors.
Some 550,000 verified signatures are needed to get the initiative on the ballot this year.
