Lawmakers are split on the Hunter Biden investigation, with Democrats calling it a distraction while the GOP says revelations in it prove corruption. Democrats on the House Oversight Committee are alleging that Republicans are using the Hunter Biden investigation as a distraction from former president Trump’s indictments.
They cite the release of the former FBI agent’s transcript at the same time a Georgia DA was preparing an indictment against Mr. Trump. Meanwhile, the oversight committee has shown money flowing from China, Russia, and Ukraine into accounts linked to Hunter Biden. Republicans allege that the younger Biden sold access to his then-Vice President father while paying Joe Biden’s credit card bills.
This accusation stems from a text in which Hunter Biden claims to have paid his father’s bills for 11 years. The texts appear to show that Hunter Biden shared either an AT&T account or a Wells Fargo account with Joe Biden.
The National Review is now reporting that newly appointed Special Counsel David Weiss—who has supposedly been investigating Hunter Biden for years—buried an investigation into a $5-million scheme involving Biden and China … because Joe Biden was running for President.
