Leonardo DiCaprio, Mexico’s president, and Carlos Slim all signed a deal to save an endangered porpoise.

There are fewer than 30 vaquita porpoises left in the wild. Fisherman using gillnets have been blamed for killing porpoises while catching fish and shrimp in the Gulf of Mexico.

After DiCaprio urged his fans to support via social media, President Nieto invited DiCaprio and partner Carlos Slim to sign an agreement regulating protection of the vaquita.
