Leopard chased away by elephants while admiring its reflections in the mirror

In the Gabonese forest of Africa, a leopard was spotted admiring its reflections in the mirror.

French photographer, Xavier Hubert-Brierre captured the video. He was interested to know how wild animals would react when seeing their reflections, so he placed a huge mirror in the forest.

The short clip first shows the leopard walking past the mirror, and retracing its steps. It seems like the leopard was suddenly aware of another “leopard” walking beside it, and was so shocked it tries to put up a fight with the other leopard.

The leopard was later chased away by a herd of elephants just when it seems to have made peace with the other leopard. The elephants were either not interested in their reflections or felt the mirror was too creepy and ran off.

Undeterred, the leopard came back again and started admiring its reflections, even looking over the mirror at times.
