Local Councils Own Artworks Worth £1.5 Billion: Research

Research indicates local councils own nearly 2 million pieces of art, with only 28 percent on display, despite several declaring bankruptcy. Campaign group “Taxpayers’ Alliance,” who conducted the research, said councils should either publicly display the artworks or sell them.
