London assault ‘an attack on the free world,’ says Prime Minister May

Three attackers were shot dead by armed police.

Britain’s terror threat level will remain at Severe after terrorists killed 7 people and injured 48 in London.

One Jun5, Prime Minister Theresa May said it was an attack on the free world.

“JTAC, the independent Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre, have confirmed that the national threat level remains at severe, that means that a terrorist attack is highly likely,” she said.

“It is now clear that, sadly, victims came from a number of nationalities. This was an attack on London and the United Kingdom, but it was also an attack on the free world,” said May.

Additional security measures have been put in place, said May.

This includes several bridges in central London.

Three knife-wielding assailants rammed a van into pedestrians on the London Bridge. They also stabbed others nearby, killing at least seven and injuring scores more.
