Poncho, the baby opossum touched rescuers heart when they found him clinging to his mother who lay dead in the middle of the road. Rescuers thought it would be difficult for Poncho to survive without his biological mother.
With good veterinary care, Poncho survived but he still missed a mother. Opossum don’t take to surrogate mothers easily but the rescuers had no other choice. What they didn’t anticipate was that Poncho would take to a mother of a different species! The baby got adopted surprisingly by a dog.
A white German shepherd, Hantu adopted Poncho and started caring for it as if it was her puppy. The two soon formed an unbreakable bond and are inseparable.
