“Very few people with Downs Syndrome will ever be able to sing.” ~ Down Syndrome Education International

Try telling that to Madison Telvin. She’s 12 years old and his defying those statistical odds, with grace. She loves John Legend. In this recording, you can hear her singing the cover of “All Of Me,” originally written, recorded, and performed by Legend.

Madison, because of her Downs Syndrome, must use twice the standard vocal energy (microvolts) to produce sound to speak, but that’s not very central to the reason why Madison has chosen to sing. Madison wants to inspire others, which is something she has in common with many famous and not famous musical artists alike. One does not become an artist of anything without a passion for inspiring in some way, and skill and talent are only a part of what propels someone to become an impressive performing artist.

Listen to Madison sing and decide for yourself. Did she accomplish her goal? Were you inspired? We sure were.
