Madrid Fusion Manila is going on in the Philippines. It’s the only Asian edition of the Spanish food event. Madrid Fusion happens every year in Spain.

It’s a huge international food event for the Philippines.

Luis Calvo, the Spanish ambassador to the Philippines, discussed its importance.

“What really distinguishes Madrid Fusion Manila is that they are somehow anticipating the future of high cuisine and by that doing they are changing the course of of tomorrow’s gastronomy and this is very important because you make it a sort of self fulfilling prophecy if you are capable of congregating the main chefs or the most prestigious chefs and they tell you how the future of cuisine and high gastronomy is going to be others will immediately follow suit.”
