Why are there thousands of toys free for the taking?

Because this is part of an all-expense paid adventure to Florida by the Ohr Meir Foundation for children who are battling cancer.

Each year, 50 children from the U.S. and Canada get to spend 4 days on a wondrous trip to Orlando, taking a break from their harsh reality.

Ohr Meir Orlando started 21 years ago, and since then, the foundation has brought more than a thousand children who were battling cancer to Disney World and the theme parks close by.

It’s not just Ohr Meir that made the trip possible.

“All of these former Toys R Us employees came together to be part of this event and help checkout the kids as they make their purchases.”

Toy companies donated every toy in the room.

The founders of this organization lost their 10-year-old boy to Leukemia 24 years ago. They wish to remember their son through giving joy and hope to other children battling cancer.

“What we’re doing here is giving them energy. We’re infusing them with life and energy to go and take on whatever it is that’s coming ahead.”
