Man Was In A Coma For A Long Time, But Girlfriend Refused To Leave Him. 3 Years Later… I Break Down In Tears

This love story is truly remarkable. Kelcie and Larry’s love for each other started in high school. Larry was a star football player and track runner and Kelcie was his biggest fan. She was there for him at all his events and supported him even as he went away to fight forest fires in the summers. They were best friends.

On March 10, 2010, Larry showed Kelcie’s sister the ring he would use to propose to Kelcie in the following week while on vacation with her whole family at Disneyland. Tragically, Larry never had that opportunity as he was hit by a drunk driver that night and ended up in a coma for months.

It was a long road to recovery for Larry, as life would never be the same. But one thing never changed–the person standing by his side, Kelcie!

The video below that shows us the incredible moment when Larry, after three years of recovery, finally proposed to Kelcie… with the same ring he had before! It’s truly beautiful!

It took more than four years, a private fundraising campaign by a relative – and a miracle or two – but Kelcie Yeoman and Larry Ragsdale finally got their dream wedding at Disneyland in California.

“It was perfect,” Kelcie (now Ragsdale) said. “It was magical. There were just so many exciting things that happened we weren’t even expecting.”

Here’s our takeaway: Kelcie’s love for Larry is the definition of selfless. We should all seek to love others in the same way Kelcie has loved Larry.
