Man and his dog save a beached baby dolphin

A man was fishing and taking photos at a beach in North Wales when his dog kept coming up to him. The two-year-old springer spaniel names Leia kept nudging and barking at her owner, Rich Wilcock,

Leia kept running down to the beach and barking from the distance.

“Clearly she had found something,” said Wilcock. He walked over to the dog and found a baby dolphin washed up on the Criccieth shore.

‘I lifted him gently under the belly and popped him back amongst the waves and he swam away into deeper water,’ Wilcock explained.

“The little guy was lucky as there was nobody around for miles!” he said. “And, if it wasn’t for my dog barking at me I would have missed him, too!”

Together, dog and man helped save the little mammal.
