Generally, hopping from rock to rock to cross a low flowing creek is relatively fun, though not without a small measure of risk. But, what would you do if the water levels were to suddenly rise from flood waters? Exactly this situation happened to a man in Nepal.
He was rock hopping from rock to rock while the water levels were flowing low and moderately calmly. Suddenly, the water level surged unexpectedly, so much that the water completely covered some of the rocked that had been exposed a moment before. The current became too strong for any swimmer, and the rocks and waterfalls downstream made any jumping to safety an impossibility. Luckily, a squad of rescuers saved the day.
This video shows the remarkable rescue from the river in Nepal, Sundari jal, Kathmandu. Certainly this man will learn to be a bit more careful the next time he wants to go rock-hopping across a creek.
