While driving on a rural Costa Rican road, a couple on vacation stopped to assist a tree sloth that was crossing a busy road.
As the two were being driven close to Aguirre, Puntarenas, in southeast Costa Rica, their driver noticed the sloth moving at a snails pace.
The sloth was waving its arms while the driver carried it across the road before putting it in a tree.
The cameraman said that the little sloth was taking a very long time to cross the road, so it was clear to him that if they had not helped it, it might have been struck by a car.
Upon reaching safety and getting a lift across the road, the sloth appears happy at the end of the video. It looks like he is smiling.
