Maria Sharapova got taunted at press conference over doping comeback

Maria Sharapova faced criticism from media for her use of a banned substance and subsequent tennis comeback. She is back in competition at the Stuttgart Grand Prix. She spoke about what she misses about the game, and hinted how she plans to get back, “I love being in situations where I had to figure out a way to get through it and how to win, I think that’s one of the things the sport teaches you from a young age is it puts you in certain positions where you have to adjust, or you have to keep your focus, or you have to keep playing the same way, you have to know what you did right to get there, if you’re down you have to turn it around as quickly as possible so it’s a jigsaw puzzle and I missed that feeling.”

She’s winning again, and with that winning she faced a media onslaught who fear she is getting preferential treatment.

Despite getting badgered with uncomfortable questions by reporters, she didn’t let it get to her, rarely showing frustration. She plans to continue her success on the court and block out the media teardown that she currently faces.
