City in the clouds

This looks like some mysterious city in the clouds. These stunning photos were captured at 85th floor of Princess Tower in Dubai.

Thick fog is rare in Dubai, occurring only four to six times per year, and typically evaporates after 9am.

Thanks to German photographer Sebastian Opitz; who awoke at 4am to make the trips to the 1,358-foot-tall Princess Tower, to capture these surreal images, which include Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, piercing the fluffy clouds.
