More details were released on the suspect in the deadly Maryland rampage this week that left three people dead and several others injured.
A witness to the shooting inside a granite company in Edgewood said the suspect, Radee Prince, 37, gathered a small group of his co-workers together by saying, “Come with me. I want to say something to everybody.”
Then, he opened fire without saying a word, the witness, who worked at the granite countertop-making firm, told The Associated Press.
Prince, he said, came to work that morning and responded to a normal greeting with harsh language about the workplace and workers. He then attempted to try and talk to several employees.
“As soon as they get close, he pulls out the handgun and starts firing,” Sheriff Jeffrey Gahler told The Baltimore Sun on Thursday. “Everyone fled. He chased a few.”
“He talked to me first,” said the unnamed worker, AP reported.

“Then I saw him talk to another friend. Nobody listened to him, because his reaction was to start a fight,” he told AP.
A month ago, Prince approached him and accused him of spreading rumors and gossiping.
Prince, he said, had a history of being violent with co-workers, namely when he thought they were talking about him behind his back, court documents obtained by AP can reveal.

After opening fire, killing three people and critically injuring two more, he fled to Delaware and shot someone else at a used car dealership. He was later captured.
Those killed were identified as Jose Romero, 34; Enis Mrvoljak; and Bayarsaikhan Tudev, the Harford County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement. Two other people shot in the attack were in critical condition at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, it said, Reuters reported.

Gahler called the shooting a “targeted attack.” Asked about the gunman’s possible motive, he said: “We believe he’s tied into a relationship here at work.”
Prince had worked for Advanced Granite Solutions for the past four months and had been scheduled to work on Wednesday, the sheriff said.
