Some of the tiniest paintings ever, and they are absolutely amazing

Some paintings are old, some are new, others are small, and some huge. Alright, but what about paintings so tiny they fit onto a stone no bigger than a peanut…

Ukrainian artist Yana Khachikyan paints them all, from birds, whales and even houses so tiny that there won’t even fit an ant inside. Check out more of her astonishing work on her website, or in the video below.

Khachikyan began painting on stones two years ago, and it quickly developed into her passion.Khachikyan says she never gets bored, even after many hours painting in great detail. Painting completely calms her down, where often an entire day can fly by without notice. Most of the paintings take several hours, depending on the complexity of the motives can take even longer.

Friends bring back stones from trips all over the world for Khachikyan to paint, each of which is unique for the artist to derive inspiration from.
