Moving, transforming, and healing—this is what audience members said after watching Shen Yun Performing Arts.

This week, Shen Yun performed seven shows throughout the United States and Europe.

“It’s absolutely spectacular. It’s a rocket on steroids, with absolutely precision performance,” said Ben Siler, who saw the show in Johnson City, Tennessee. “The orchestra, the precision, the colors, the costumes—phenomenal.”

“The show was a marvel, a perfect blend of art, movement, color, and special effects, perfectly synchronized, that demonstrated marvelous happiness,” said María García Fuster, a member of the Parliament of Catalonia, Spain.

She saw Shen Yun in Sant Cugat on Feb. 2. “I am truly amazed and highly recommend it.”

“I see 1,000 years of culture,” said lawyer Dan Bieger, who saw Shen Yun in Johnson City.

The show has one goal: to revive traditional Chinese culture from before communism. Audience members said the performance was spiritually moving.

“I’ve been in business for 52 years, so I have experience of knowing the difference between average, good, and beautiful. And this is magnificent,” said Siler, who is the owner of home theater company Soundroom.

“It’s not just the artistic presentation, but the spirit behind it,” said Michael Gaeta, president of Gaeta Institute for Wholistic Health Education. He saw Shen Yun in Cheyenne, Wyoming. “Just a beautiful representation of a spirit of virtue. That was very evident. I was very happy to see that spirit embodied in a very beautiful way through the performers. You can tell they represented something of a higher spirit, which was very healing for me.”

“There is a presence that filled the room that really touched people’s lives,” said Charlene Baktamarian, executive producer and host of the GSTN TV show.

They said this performance is life-changing.

“Shen Yun brings you to your origin. It makes you think of what’s happening. It makes you think about where we are going, and where we want to go—which is to preserve our roots,” said García Fuster. “[The performance] transmits what the creator wants, what contemporary and ancient China are and how communism destroys traditional values, spiritual content.”

“I’m just very thankful, very thankful for this group. Divine reality is coming into the world all over the world and bringing this to people. So I’m very appreciative, very thankful for this, and I’ll be back every year,” said Gaeta.

“Today where there’s such division and discord and chaos and censorship, and kind of turning away from a lot of traditional values, something like this—which is really rooted in something very ancient and bringing it into the modern times—I think, reminds people of something in them, which maybe has been dormant, of their own virtue, of their own goodness, of their own higher transcendent values,” he added.

“In this last year and a half, with the pandemic and all of the things people needed, and all I could say is this color, they needed this life, they needed something like this to be presented,” said Baktamarian. “And just to bring them laughter, just to bring them joy, just all I can say is just … I think I know everybody left today with just a newness, just kind of newness of life.”

“It’s empowering to know that the essence and the divinity is within us. And we are absolutely powerful as the performers demonstrated. In this very chaotic time, I will take this message with me,” said Liseth Milena Aguirre Torres, an environmental engineer in Spain.

“If you want to do something that’s enjoyable, come see this show. I think it actually brings the pandemic almost a full circle,” said Claude Dykes, president of Tripoint Solutions who saw the show in Johnson City.

“They need to go, they need to go see this here,” said Baktamarian.

Shen Yun will continue to perform in seven more cities throughout the United States and Europe next week.
