The Mexican navy seized 4.4 metric tonnes (4,400 kilograms) of cocaine during two high-speed chases on Aug. 22 and 23 in the Pacific Ocean, authorities reported on Aug. 28. The navy also found 5,200 liters of fuel and detained 11 people. The detainees have been handed over to the prosecutor’s office.
