MINDS.com ‘Festival of Ideas’ Crosses Political Divide

If you haven’t heard of MINDS.com, it’s a free, open-source, social networking platform. They recently hosted a daring event in New York City: the “Festival of Ideas,” bringing together high-profile thinkers from different strands of the political spectrum, hoping to prove that mature dialogue is possible. That mostly happened, though some sparks did fly. You can watch it all for free on their platform.

I had conversations with several participants, starting with MINDS founder Bill Ottman on why people are so convinced rational dialogue isn’t possible across the divide.

I also discussed free speech, new political spectrums, censorship, and how we can do better with former Democratic presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard; James O’Keefe of Project Veritas; musician and de-radicalization activist Daryl Davis; Nick Gillespie, editor at large with Reason Magazine; Coleman Hughes, host of Conversations With Coleman podcast; and Margaret Kimberley, executive editor for Black Agenda Report.

Hope you had a Happy Independence Day weekend, from the entire team at The Nation Speaks.
