A 19-year-old student who was missing since October last year has been found dead in a Georgia mall.

Silling Man’s body was found in an “advanced state of decomposition,” Gwinnett County Police said in a statement.

Man was a student at Georgia State University who had been missing since Oct. 10, 2017.

Her body was found in an empty food court by a maintenance worker at Gwinnett Place Mall in Duluth on Dec. 21, but she was only formally identified on Wednesday, Jan. 10. She had been dead for around two weeks.

There were no surveillance cameras in the mall corridors at the time, police said.

Police are still investigating why Man died, although they have confirmed the death isn’t being treated as a homicide.

Man was originally reported missing on Oct. 8 but she returned home. Two days later, she disappeared again, picking up her final paycheck on Nov. 20 from a different mall, Perimeter Mall in Dunwoody, police said.

Police are appealing for information about what happened to her between mid-October and mid-December.
