Mom, 2 Others Indicted in Case of Chained Alabama Teen

PRATTVILLE, Ala.—The mother of a 13-year-old boy found naked and chained at an Alabama home has been indicted on a charge of aggravated child abuse, along with two other family members.

The Montgomery Advertiser reported on April 8 that the charges against the boy’s mother, stepfather, and grandmother were upgraded from torture/willful abuse of a child. Two uncles are accused of aiding and abetting the abuse.

Autauga County Sheriff Joe Sedinger said an anonymous report in September led authorities to the family’s home, where the boy was naked and chained to a door. The boy and his siblings, aged 3 and 12, were removed from the home.

The women remained jailed as of Monday. The stepfather previously posted bail and was free as of Monday. He’s being tracked by an ankle monitor.

Girl Abused By Stepdad Gets Protection from Bikers

A little girl identified as “FA” was terrified after being abused by her stepfather. But everything changed when a group of bikers stepped in to give her much-needed support.

FA was 10 years old when her mom remarried, and that’s when the nightmarish abuse began—the stepfather started sexually abusing her.

In a video by Yahoo, FA’s mom recalled how her daughter was not afraid of anything in the world.

“Before the abuse, my daughter was very outgoing. The ham of every photo… very beautiful, adventurous,” her mom said. “Probably the best way to describe her is that she was fearless.”

However, FA’s outgoing personality was soon overshadowed by her abusive new father.

“I no longer ate. I didn’t sleep. I was in the worst time of my life,” FA recalled with tears in her eyes.

Two years later, FA told her mom about the abuse and they decided to press charges.

“It was my husband, her stepfather, somebody that I chose to bring into our family,” her mom said.

It took three years for the case to be brought to trial, while the mother and daughter both feared for their safety. The abuse not only tormented little FA physically but also impacted her psychologically.

“She was showering with her clothes on. She was always very afraid. Always had to check if all the doors and windows were locked at night. Lots and lots of nightmares,” her mom said.

Fortunately, one day things changed. A group of bikers from Bikers Against Child Abuse (B.A.C.A.) came to support and protect FA.

“We’re an organization of bikers that come together for one clause, to empower children that have been victims of child abuse, to be no longer afraid of the world that they live in,” said Pipes, the vice president of the Los Angeles B.A.C.A.

The bikers guarded her house day and night to make FA feel safe. They even showed up at the trial to lend support to the little girl when she testified against her stepfather.

“We’re a rough lot, and we’re scarier than their perpetrators, we are scarier than their demons, and it works,” said the biker known as Tombstone, who is the president of the Los Angeles B.A.C.A.. “We are that single strand of barbed wire between hell and happiness for them.”

“I looked over and I saw my stepdad just staring at me and I felt like I could have passed out or die just from his glare,” FA recalled. “I looked over and B.A.C.A. was there, and they’re just sitting there with their thumbs up giving me the emotional support that I needed.”

With the support from the bikers, FA could move on and is now a full-time college student with a full-time job. Per media reports, her stepdad was later arrested and imprisoned.
