Money Flees China: Foreign Investment Drops 80 Percent

Investors are fleeing China. That seems to be the trend as Beijing struggles with economic woes. Foreign direct investment in China is now one-fifth of what it was last year.

China saw a meager $20 billion in direct investment in the first quarter compared to a $100 billion last year, according to research firm Rhodium Group after analyzing official figures.

To make matters worse, China is seeing record-low tourism. The Wall Street Journal stating China’s Latest Problem: People Don’t Want to Go There.
