Kanpur railway station in Uttar Pradesh was the scene of tender animal compassion as a monkey saved the life of his friend, another monkey, that fell unconscious after being electrocuted.

After walking on the high-tension wires above, the injured monkey fell on the railway tracks and was lying unconscious. A fellow monkey saw what had happened and rushed to aid the limp animal. It was a sight to behold as the rescuing primate worked hard for nearly 20 minutes in an attempt to revive his electrocuted friend.

His revival efforts included repeatedly hitting, biting, and tipping the monkey into the water. All of the efforts finally paid off when the injured animal regained consciousness and walked away from the railway tracks.
