Montana’s attorney general is asking a federal judge to allow the state’s full and complete ban on the app to take effect despite TikTok’s lawsuits to stop it.
Montana seeks to outlaw the app over fears that pro-Beijing misinformation could sway public opinion and harm Americans.
It’s the first state in the U.S. to support a full ban.
Montana’s Attorney General Austin Knudsen, said Monday the state legislature and governor “did the right thing in prohibiting TikTok from operating in Montana.”
