More than a million viewers tuned in to April the giraffe’s YouTube channel to watch her give birth to as baby boy on Saturday, April 15.
April was pregnant for 16 months, but didn’t attract any attention until the end of February, when New York’s Animal Adventure Park decided to broadcast a livestream from her enclosure.
After nearly two months of waiting, fans were finally treated to the sight of their favorite zoo resident bringing her son into the world.
The new baby boy is six feet (1.83-meters) tall and weighs 150 pounds (68 kg).
